Prerequisites

Before making your first call, ensure you have:
  • A Consuelo account
  • Twilio credentials configured in Settings
  • At least one contact in your database

Step 1: Open the Dialer

Press Cmd+D (Mac) or Ctrl+D (Windows) to open the dialer sidebar. Alternatively, click the phone icon in the navigation bar.

Step 2: Enter a Phone Number

There are three ways to enter a phone number:
  1. Use the dial pad - Click number buttons on the on-screen keypad
  2. Type directly - Enter the number using your keyboard
  3. Click-to-call - Click the phone icon next to any contact in the contact list

Step 3: Select Your Caller ID

Choose which phone number to display when making the call. If you have local presence enabled, Consuelo will automatically select the best number based on the recipient’s area code.

Step 4: Initiate the Call

Click the Call button or press Enter to start the call. The dialer will:
  1. Connect you to the Twilio voice service
  2. Dial the recipient’s number
  3. Bridge both parties into a conference

During the Call

While on a call, you can:
  • Mute yourself by clicking the mute button
  • Hold the caller by clicking the hold button
  • Transfer the call to another number
  • End the call by clicking the hangup button

Step 5: End the Call

Click the red Hang Up button to end the call. The call will be logged in the contact’s activity history.
All calls are automatically recorded for quality assurance and coaching purposes.
